Would you like to work with patients and families with long term conditions?

St George’s Haemophilia Centre provides care and advice to both adult and paediatric patients with a wide range of inherited bleeding disorders such as Haemophilia and Von-Willebrand disease. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our nursing team.

This role offers you the opportunity to transfer your nursing skills into this varied and interesting specialty. You will assess, plan and implement care for a caseload of patients, addressing physical and psychosocial needs. You will also liaise closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and effective care within the Trust and with other health care providers.

The role also involves teaching patients and caregivers about their condition and encouraging patient and carer to be involved in the management of their conditions. You will also participate in formal and informal teaching programmes to health care professionals.

In return, we offer on-going teaching and support and the opportunity to participate in local and national nurse educational programmes. Due to the specialist nature of this post we will consider applicants for a Band 6 position or band 7 depending on experience. Full time or Part time considered. Car driver essential.

If this role interests you, please contact the haemophilia office on 0208 725 0763.
